imagesIn this coming New Year, there is nothing that should stop us from declaring what we believe that God will bring to pass in our lives. remember that 2012 and everything in the past cannot be taken back again. What we have is another year to ensure that we will maximize our time towards valuable things that pertains to our spiritual life, family, friends, work, and God’s calling. Each day is a new day to see what God has in store for those that looks on Him for help and guidance.

The key for us in this hour is not to ignore the information coming at us, but to remember to always focus in on what God has to say, and what Heaven is highlighting. We must never allow a bad report or alarming news to have a greater impact on us than the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the miraculous ability of our Heavenly Father to bring about all of His promises – no matter what. – Rob Hotchkin, XP Ministries

Why the World WILL NOT End on December 21, 2012…

imagesAllow me to share what the Scriptures say about “The End.” Yes, the Mayan Calendar does not have the final say regarding the end of the world but only God’s Word. Jesus shared key indicators on His Olivet Discourse with His disciples on Matthew 24. Jesus was asked this question: 3 “And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?”

He answered this with regards to the end of the world: 14 “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Specifically, after the whole world with its 7 billion inhabitants heard the good news that Jesus died for our sins as the Savior of the world, then the END WILL COME!

Regarding any dates, this is what Jesus said: 36 “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” He has reserved the right of setting the dates of His return to God the Father. But the specific signs of His coming will be the same as in the days of Noah: 37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

In other words, if you know what Jesus said from reading the Scriptures, then you will not be anxious about the end of the world nor when would Jesus come back again. We need to be prepared spiritually to meet Jesus when He comes the 2nd time for His own and also at the Judgment Day: 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” (Hebrews 9:27-28)

So, make preparations for an “any day” scenario instead of being caught up with dates of the end of the world. You will only be frustrated because no one knows the date of the end of the world except the One who created it. For sure, it will come but on His terms not on anyone’s forecasts.

Just to share what I’ve known directly from the Scripture evidences. I can be wrong but the Scriptures cannot afford to be wrong. May God bless us all with another day as we wait for the end of the world spiritually prepared and looking forward to meet Jesus at His 2nd coming…

Scientists closer to predicting what time you’ll die | Geekquinox – Yahoo! News Canada

2540165Here’s another interesting article for you to read: Scientists closer to predicting what time you’ll die | Geekquinox – Yahoo! News Canada.

What Bible teaches in Hebrews 9:27 is this: “And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.” The fact is very clear that everyone will die but to predict its coming seems to be enticing. My question is this: what will anyone do when you can predict your death? Would anything change for the better or even worse? One can only find out if this is indeed possible. Let’s wait for it if it indeed will come…

I believe that knowing where one will go after you die is more valuable than knowing one’s time of death. More importantly is what happens next: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil” (1 Corinthians 5:10).

Whether we can predict our time of death or not, we need to make sure that we have lived a full life that honors our Creator. We are going to meet Him to account for everything we have in our life and we owe it to Him to do so.

Miscommunication: Pole position: Motorists swerve around hydro pole smack in the middle of Quebec highway | Daily Buzz – Yahoo! News Canada

How important is clear communication? I believe that without it, unnecessary things can happen. Just like this article that I found to share to all of you. Please click to read: Pole position: Motorists swerve around hydro pole smack in the middle of Quebec highway | Daily Buzz – Yahoo! News Canada.

After reading it, you maybe as surprised as I was. But remember, this is a classic illustration and a clear effect of such mishap of miscommunication…The pole was a result of it and I know that it can be repaired. However, the motorists became the unwitting victims of it. It maybe funny but not something that you would want to happen in your life–a pole sticking out for all to see….It could have been avoided if they only communicated properly….

Just my thoughts on the matter….

My Thoughts: When Honesty Prevailed….

Please click this link : Val Patterson admits to crime, having fake PhD in obituary | Daily Buzz – Yahoo! News Canada.

Here’s a very interesting article that caught my attention to illustrate that nothing is too late when it comes to honesty. The phrase, “Better late than never” became a reality on this story. I personally believe that an ounce of honesty will provide redemption in order to gain a clear conscience and a genuine peace of mind. No matter what others may say or judge about the intent of this person, his intention to become true to his loved ones was done for his own redemption from lies and deceit.

Being an outsider looking in, we can only give our opinion on this matter but it will not change the fact that admitting what he has done in the past and exposing oneself to be dishonest is to be admired. Benjamin Franklin’s statement still rings true even today and cannot be denied, “Honesty is the best policy.”

My thoughts on this man’s action: God will always resist the proud but gives grace to the humble and honesty is humility in action. How many can do what he has done in this day and age?

Going to a Movie Theater to Worship

Today, September 23, 2012 I had an opportunity to visit and minister God’s Word to Surrey-JRAM Church. More importantly, it was my first time to attend their worship venue at the Empire Theater in Guildford, Surrey. What I discovered today gave me an important lesson that if a theater can have such pleasant venues to provide the public such a wonderful place to watch movies, why can’t the church use it as a venue to honor God also?  The simple fact of church experience nowadays is this: any place can be used to transform as a haven for a worshipping community like Surrey-JRAM even a very nice movie theater.

Jesus Rock of Ages Ministries -Surrey Church meets here Sundays @9:30am

The most interesting part is the irony of it all. While we as a family go to the same place to watch movies, today, we went to meet God and His people to come together to worship Him in the same theater. Entering the theater today to worship God gave me another level of understanding that God and the worship of God’s people can never be limited by any space but it can be elevated higher even inside a theater. Thus, I liked the venue of a theater to worship God with His people. Thanks Surrey-JRAM for the worship experience in a movie theater. You have the best place to lift Jesus the Rock of Ages…. God bless!

Until next time….
